April Poll: Boat Diving, or Shore Diving

April has arrived! And that means it's time for a new poll here at the Neutral Dive Gear Scuba Diving Blog!

Last month, the overwhelming majority of voters (90.9%) declared "We divers need a new brand" when it comes to scuba diving clothing. A mere 9.1% of voters "Love the selection", while none were indifferent.

Fear not all you 90.9%ers, Neutral Dive Gear is working feverishly to bring you what you want!

=)

This month, we're wondering which you prefer: boat diving, or shore diving. Be sure to vote for your preference!

I think a choice for boat or shore diving depends on location...

In the Philippines there are many great reefs near the shore...

This was a difficult decision for me. I chose boat because that's what I've done most of my dives from. If there are great places to dive close to the shore then why not? No sea sickness, tight quarters, waiting to get on/off the boat. One of my most memorable dives was the Dos Ojos Cenote. Definitely a shore dive. But, of course, a boat is a must for drift diving.

Very true, John, very true.

"If there are great places to dive close to the shore then why not? No sea sickness, tight quarters, waiting to get on/off the boat."

Ahh yes. At first, we thought the question was an easy one. But the more we began to consider some of the factors you brought up, the more we realized both methods can be fantastically rewarding in their own right.

=)

Keep diving!
