Neutral Dive Gear is proud to announce that we've teamed up with Black Lagoon Products to bring scuba divers a revolutionary -- actually, it's more like a devolutionary approach to surface swimming, underwater surge control, turning, and micro adjustments: Darkfin Scuba Diving Gloves.
Now, we understand hesitancy on the part of some divers to think about hands as underwater propulsion devices. While divers often base their maneuver skills and buoyancy control on how little we "scull", we're all guilty of using our hands in one way or another -- often to little if any avail.
There is truth to the idea that hands are inefficient for propulsion at the surface and underwater. But it's also true that they certainly can be efficient were you to increase your hand surface area by as much as 70%. And that's where these scuba diving gloves come in.
Comprised and molded from durable latex rubber (with no stitching or straps to break and/or come off), these gloves offer unparalleled dexterity, superior grip, and a comfortable contoured fit.
And as an added bonus, they're also terrific for snorkeling, surfing, swimming, and skydiving.
Try 'em. You'll be impressed.
I swear you can't help but smile the first time you use these gloves. They're a blast! I love to snorkel with my grandaughter and and Darkfins make a big difference in when manuevering about. You can even give your legs a little break somtimes.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear, Anon! Keep diving!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn´t I think of that?
ReplyDeleteIt´s a really intuitive idea to make webbed gloves, plus it just looks cool! Kinda like an underwater superhero (like Aquaman, but much much better).
It doesnt seem to effect dexterity at all.
There is no chance of them strecthing out or become loose over time, no? I dont think so, latex is very durable.
Cool product, I hope it sells like hotcakes.
Tanks, diving! Be sure to pick up a pair and let us know what you think.
